What we do

Mentors can provide vital support for parents returning to the workplace. Not only do we support the emotional needs of the employee, we ensure parents feel listened to and address issues they may be finding challenging during their leave.

We work closely with local family and mental health services and can tailor our support depending on the needs of the new parent. Early intervention with issues can help reduce the risk of longer term mental health and early parental issues developing which may hinder a successful return later on.

We remind parents about key maternity leave dates to ensure their return has been well thought out, tailored to the needs of the employee. We look at how they will manage work and family life such as childcare options and enable them to talk to other parents on maternity or paternity leave to widen their support network and share coping strategies.

We encourage and plan self-care to help prevent burn out and better performance in work and for a more positive life overall.

No matter the journey

There's no one route to becoming a parent or carer. We support all parents including those who have conceived naturally, adopted or are currently fostering.
